Project ACL

Is there any better feeling than watching one of your childhood friends kick ass in the universe? I think not. One of my gal pals, Liz Letchford, is the definition of a girl boss and the kind of person that The Crystal Press was created to draw well-deserved attention to. Liz is a jack of all trades – a singer, a personal trainer, an actress, a lulu lemon model (yes, you read that right), a teacher, a coach, a PHD student, and the creator of Project ACL.

Project ACL stands for exactly what comes to your mind when you read it: that pesky ligament that people are always talking about tearing or almost tearing. Liz has made it her personal mission with her Phd research to strengthen female athletes by gathering useful data to prevent these horrible ACL injuries. Her end game? Being able to determine when an athlete is at risk to this injury and in the meantime, empowering female athletes to kick butt fearlessly on and off the field, everywhere.

That brings me to my outfit today. This chic, oh-so-soft, Project ACL tee is in support of Liz’s awesome project. A comfy t-shirt never goes out of style and in case you haven’t opened Instagram lately, it is quite the staple among fashionistas under a silky slip dress or paired with cut off jeans. I chose to wear Liz’s awesome design with an almost too tight skirt to give it more of a feminine feel. Of course, once I got the skirt on – I knew I needed to tame the office dominatrix vibe down a bit with my handy dandy bandana. I challenge you to style this shirt better, and yes, I am being serious. Go to Liz’s website, purchase a shirt, and pretty please style it and post it all over your social media. Let’s make her project go viral because, if anything should, it should be Project ACL.
