We have clearly been having an ongoing love affair with red for quite some time. I posted about red dresses for summer a couple of months ago, Catherine wrote about shopping affordable red pieces back in March and if you follow along with us on instagram, red has been the pop of color per choice for quite some time now!

In the name of authenticity, we are still wearing red, so we are going to keep posting about red.  Everyone else may be writing about “sweaters for fall!” and “best trenches for the season” — and we will of course be doing that eventually, but for now our natural instinct is to post about whats relevant to us atm. How many times did I said red in this post? Let’s see, 5 already and there’s no end in sight. Read on for how to wear the red trend three ways as we transition into fall.

TOPS
As fall is a transitional season, use red tanks or sweaters to create fun, textured layered looks! Having a few basic tees and wrap tops can’t hurt either! What can I say, I don’t discriminate so you shouldn’t either. You do you.

DRESSES
Red is a bold color that makes a seriously fiery statement so own it! Whether its a red slip that you layer with a blazer or dress down with sneakers, or a fun wrap for a night on the town – choose wisely and choose a shape that flatters your body type and embraces your personal style.

PANTS
Colored pants can be a tricky thing. I remember 15 years ago when colored denim first became “in” and I had every color of the rainbow.  By the time everyone else caught up (yes, I was seriously ahead of the time), I was bored of all of the colors.
