move over denim, there’s a new shorts style trending this summer.

I have NEVER been a shorts girl.  I have had my fair share of denim shorts over the years, some that I have liked okay.  But, to me, they just are not comfortable.  Even my favorite One Teaspoon pairs can get uncomfy after a few hours.  I am alllll about comfort these days, especially after living in loungewear for a year, so when I started doing some shopping for new summer pieces, I was on the hunt for shorts that were chic, but comfortable.  I hit the jackpot with these two pairs from ASOS and they have been on repeat now that the temps are warmer.

I have rounded up a whole slew of shorts from my favorite retailers and I’m seeing some major trends this year >>

SWEAT SHORTS – When John bought a pair of sweat shorts last year, I made fun of him for DAYS. But, the joke is on me because this year they are everywhere and I am loving it. I have been living in this pair of Collusion sweat shorts, and just picked up a new black pair from ASOS, too.

PRINTED SHORTS – Patterned shorts are the statement piece you didn’t know you needed this summer.  They are such a fun piece to start your outfits with, and I have rounded up a bunch of fun pairs that also look super comfortable. The pair I am wearing here is still available in a few sizes, too.

PASTELS – I think it is safe to say that my style is definitely evolving if I am buying pastel clothes. For years I have prided myself on buying black everything. It’s chic, easy to style and classic.  But lately, I have been adding a little more color to my wardrobe, as I have been seeing pastels everywhere this spring.  I have found a pair of shorts in almost every pastel you can imagine and linked them below. Now, I have my eyes on the H&M pairs…
