*Coming to you this week from our Cul de Sac across the river*

The great part about being a blogger duo is that we’ve always got each other to help shoot, pick out outfits, swap shoes and bags and give style and posing tips while we shoot. However, our busy little lives sometimes get in the way and then, I must turn to my other, other half. Luckily for me, my husband John, has embraced his position of Mr. Crystal Press from day one and is always there to step up when I need him. Afterall, what kind of high school English teacher doesn’t want to be his fashion blogger wife’s photographer on a beautiful Saturday afternoon?

This weekend, Catherine was off doing a little wedding planning and I needed John to help me out with these photos. When I initially went to style this Dezzal Piece, I paired it with the softest nightshirt that I snagged at H&M. However, John immediately stepped in saying that I looked like I belonged in Star Wars so it was back to the drawing board. (Side note: Cath would totally have let me rock the nightshirt as a dress, so that may reappear on here in the near future).

Back to the drawing board: for the perfect combination of ‘hey look at me’ and ‘look how casual I look’ you can never go wrong with a Levi’s and t-shirt foundation, just like I’m rocking here. Add a statement piece (the hooded vest) and a fun accessory (a neck scarf) and here I am looking subtly flashy on the streets of our new neighborhood. #CuldeSacLife #SuburbanBlogging
