Oh, quarantine. You are truly a roller coaster. Some days we wake up ready to create, ready to be productive and get up, shower and put on makeup. Other days, we spend in our pajamas. BOTH ARE OKAY!!! Leisure sets are blowing up all of our feeds and tie-dye sets are everywhere. {I’m currently working on making my own and it’s not going exactly as planned lol} We love a good set, don’t get us wrong, but we also love a good dress alternative, especially now that the temps are getting warmer.

Our Favorite Binge-Worthy TV Shows

I’ve been thinking about doing a blog post about my favorite binge-worthy TV shows since I got pregnant because binge-ing TV had become a bigger part of my life staying in with my bump (baby Phoenix wink wink) for 10 months. In true cathclaire fashion – my baby is already here aka pregnancy is very much over – but now that we are all faced with extensive time indoors amidst all of this social distancing – I couldn’t put off publishing this any longer!

My taste in TV is admittedly not the best or most refined by any means. I don’t watch the tube often but when I do – I gravitate to uber girly shows and/or TV shows that make me feel good. Like really good. LOL. So, if this is your vibe – read on for my favorite binge-worthy TV shows worth watching during this time of social distancing and staying safe!

Our Favorite Candles to Brighten Your Days

Quarantine. Lock down. Shelter in Place. We may be past the “worst” of the pandemic but we are still spending more time in our homes than we are used to. If you are like us, this means you are burning WAY more candles than usual. In one of my group texts today we were all discussing our candle habits and sharing our favorite candles, which prompted me to write this blog post!!

As my good friend Tim said: “Everyone is working from home now so now is the perfect time to get into candles. Plus it can relieve some stress and anxiety that our world is experiencing.”

10 Tips for Making The Best of Your Time At Home

Before I started writing this post, I wondered if we were being flooded with similar posts in the news, on facebook, instagram and twitter and even texted Catherine asking if it was already played out. She said she didn’t think so and honestly, I am writing this for myself as much as for you guys! So far on our first 3 nights of staying inside, we have sat in front of the TV for hours. While, there’s nothing wrong with your daily dose of your favorite TV shows, I wanted to force myself to do other things with our evenings while we are battling the corona virus.

It is so easy to get sucked into the news about Covid-19 and feel like the world is ending. Don’t get me wrong, we need to stay informed, but it simply is not healthy for your mind to wander to all the wrong places. SO, here are a few ideas, in case you stumble on over here and find something new to add to your new routine.

I absolutely love discovering new brands, so when J.ING emailed us about trying out their pieces, I was really excited. The anticipation when clicking a link to a new brand is “well this stuff could be really cool, or we’ll probably pass.” With J.ING it was an immediate oooooh & ahhhh situation. I was immediately drawn to their pieces and noticed how each piece puts a chic twist on a classic. The brand describes themselves as “a womenswear collection for the bold and romantic” and I think that pretty much hits the nail on the head.

As we get towards the end of my pregnancy (considering my due date was 5 days ago LOL), I have been thinking back over the past 10 months. It has gone by relatively quicker than I thought being pregnant would and dressing the bump has been quite the adventure. I am not going to get into all the feels with this blog post, I mostly wanted to check in and tell you my favorite, favorite, most-used maternity fashion piece throughout this entire journey: my HATCH gal poncho.

Reb’s Home Office Update

My loft / home office redesign is finally complete and it feels SO GOOD. I fell in love with this space when we first saw the house four years ago and knew that eventually I would make this area my happy place. It has been an ongoing project for a year or so, but I can finally say that except for a rogue wing chair that is temporarily living in the corner, it is finished! It all started with me using chalk paint to transform a hand-me-down desk and ordering a few pieces of art from Minted.

Statement Pieces: Feather Detail

WE DID IT AGAIN! We showed up to shoot and when we went to get changed, we came out of the bathroom stalls to see that we were both rocking feather accent pieces. I was wearing a pair of dark green jeans with button & feather hem detail and Cath had the cooooolest piece on. We couldn’t help but laugh at ourselves, again. It has really just become expected at this point for us to be matching, twinning or coordinating in some sort of way – but with our own personal style twists. This weekend was no exception!
