Girls Who Lunch

So, I guess I should announce that I am getting married in 7 months, May 20th(WTF!, so much to do, so little time!)

After visiting a couple of venues and making some wedding related decisions, I popped over to Lunch for some post-decision-making grub. Whether you are visiting the river city or live in Richmond, I would highly recommend sitting on their patio as the months grow colder. It is perfectly instagramable and dressed up with open fires and string lights.  (more…)

Squar’d Away

*Coming to you this week from our Cul de Sac across the river*dezzal-8

The great part about being a blogger duo is that we’ve always got each other to help shoot, pick out outfits, swap shoes and bags and give style and posing tips while we shoot. However, our busy little lives sometimes get in the way and then, I must turn to my other, other half. Luckily for me, my husband John, has embraced his position of Mr. Crystal Press from day one and is always there to step up when I need him. Afterall, what kind of high school English teacher doesn’t want to be his fashion blogger wife’s photographer on a beautiful Saturday afternoon? (more…)

Heels Up, Listen Up

I have acknowledged on several occasions during the life of TCP that I am a self-help junkie. While some may dismiss self help literature as overindulgent and selfish, cathclaire (that’s me) thinks the complete opposite. Is learning how to show up as the best version of yourself for everyone in your life really a selfish thing? If you become better, can’t you help everyone around you in an improved, better way?

When we received the email about collaborating with ShopStyle x CFDA designers for Fashion Targets Breast Cancer, it was a no brainer. Rebecca and I jumped on board so fast and are so excited to be donating a portion of our profits this week to something that is so dear to us. This cause is so important to Rebecca and I so throughout this post you will hear us both talking in the first person explaining why.  (more…)

Midsummer Dreaming into Fall

This jumpsuit is named adequately “Midsummer’s Dream” and I sure do feel like I’m a little fairy flitting thru the woods when I’m wearing it. Literally, it makes me want to prance around.  However, we have said goodbye to the dog days of summer and are making our way well into fall here in #RVA.  This morning I woke up and it was so chilly, I almost had to put on a jacket. As cliche as it is to say, how is it seriously almost mid-October?!  (more…)

If there is a piece of jewelry I can’t walk out of the house without these days, it’s this Drift Riot “When I think of You” knot collar. (sweet name, right?) We’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: there are so many awesome companies based in Richmond and Drift Riot is one of them.

Tibi Bell Sleeve Dress

tcp______0561

It’s no secret that my motivation to become a blogger is rooted in my discovery of Tibi and designer, Amy Smilovic, 6 years ago. I have loved watching the evolution of the brand and I know that each and every season, there is going to be something new and interesting. I have pieces in my closet (a pair of Mary Janes, a Jumpsuit) that are among some of my first Tibi pieces and I don’t think I will ever have the heart to throw them out, even when they are worn completely through. They help to serve as a constant reminder of where this whole adventure began and I’ve grown so accustomed to seeing them on a daily basis.

Ok, get to the point Rebecca…  (more…)
