This past April for my husband’s spring break, we took a little road trip through the south with the ultimate destination of Oxford, Mississippi. John is a high school English Teacher and a huge fan of William Faulkner, so Oxford seemed like the exact right destination for our pilgrimage. We got to see Faulkner’s home, with writings on the walls and maps of his town Yoknapatawpa; we visited his grave with a little Jack Daniels in tow; and explored the quaint town of Oxford taking a few photos along the way. Reb here! If there’s one thing that I love about Cath, it’s her innovative, dynamic style that transcends any given season. You can find her wearing slip dresses in the winter and sweaters in the summer and most recently I’ve noticed her proclivity for wearing Over The Knee boots during any season.

The Perfect Summer Caftan
This past weekend we celebrated Catherine’s wedding to Kevin and it is safe to say that it lived up to our expectations and then some – well actually a lot more. I won’t give away too many details; I’ll let Catherine do that when she’s ready to share some photos from the big day! I will say that we danced into the wee hours of Friday morning to the likes of Bieber, Spice Girls + Britney Spears, champagne in hand. And now, Catherine is down south in West Palm Beach enjoying her honeymoon with Kevin and I am extreeeeeemely jealous; I’m sure you all are too. (more…)
Spotlight on: Culottes
In honor of Catherine’s nuptials this weekend, I thought I would do a little round up of the @cathclaire favorite: Culottes! No matter the time of year, you can find Cath wearing her favorite pair of denim culottes, a dressier pair of black ones, or a chic version of a gaucho style (not sure this is the best way to put it, but hey, you get it). 
Reb’s Wedding Revisited
As we enter Catherine’s wedding week, naturally, we are revisiting some of our favorite moments from my wedding. Melrose Georgetown Hotel
If you’ve been following along with TCP for any amount of time, you know that Catherine and I love a good hotel stay. We’ve enjoyed staycations in Richmond and plenty of Fashion Week nights in countless hotels; so when we got the invite to come up to Washington, DC to stay at the Melrose Georgetown we jumped to the occasion! Amidst all of Catherine’s wedding prep (ten days out!) this was the perfect getaway for the two of us to gallivant around a city that isn’t our own, as we are want to do. (more…)
May Baby
I have come to the conclusion that one of my “talents” (aka favorite past times) is the mere act of celebrating and I will use just about any excuse to do so. I am a lover of dance floors, birthdays, New Years, Halloween, and well… all holidays. That being said, yesterday was my birthday (May the Fourth be with you, too) and I quickly realized that everyone around me is hugely talented in the celebrating department as well. From my friends and family near and far, to ya’lls sweet messages, my fiancè, Reb, and Buddha the maltipoo – yesterday was surreal and that is just the beginning of, what I know will be, one of the best years of my life.
