Fabulous Beauty Products with a Drugstore Price Tag

As much as I enjoy upscale beauty products, I’d be lying if I didn’t reveal that I also have a soft spot for several drugstore beauty products……that I almost ALWAYS have on hand. Yes, fancy body wash is oh-so-fun and makes us feel luxurious but I love to use my Aveeno Stress Relief body wash. The smell is so nostalgic to me because I have been using it for years and sometimes you just can’t beat the way it lathers, ya know what I mean?

Of course, we also can’t ignore that the price tag on these products can’t be beat. Sometimes a girl has to look out for her bank account, amiright?

Cozy Fall Favorites from Free People

We definitely go through phases when it comes to our favorite retailers, but one that has been tried and true over the years is Free People. We did one of our first events as fashion bloggers at our local Free People, so for me, the brand has a special place in my heart.

Freeps is our go-to particularly for oversized, comfy pieces. Comfy, slouchy t-shirts in the summer and cozier pieces in the cooler months. I gotta admit when I ordered this sweatshirt dress, I thought it was just the sweatshirt but was pleasantly surprised that the “skirt” it was styled with online was actually a part of the piece! It is unfortunately sold out now online because I snagged it on sale, but fear not there are plenty of options if you’re looking to add to your comfy collection.

Cath has been rocking this perfectly oversized sweater since she got it and I gotta admit, I’ve got my eye on it as well. It comes in 12 colors, and you are guaranteed to get some MAJOR wear out of it this fall and winter. We all prefer to dress comfortably right? Why not invest in some quality pieces that will last through the season?

Lip Colors for Everyday

Rebecca and I have different hair colors and coloring in general. Would you be surprised if we told you that we have found a color scheme of lip color that we both wear, pretty much everyday? It doesn’t matter if we are prepping for a photo shoot or walking to lunch, the two of us are super fond of mauve toned lip colors! Our all time favorite is the Tarte Lippie Lingerie in Envy, but over the years – we have found several other lip colors that do the trick as well!

Insider Tip: One of the reasons I really love mauve berry lip colors is because they tend to have blue undertones. Blue undertones are important because they don’t make your teeth look yellow like other yellow toned lip colors. Bleaching your teeth also helps with this but, when you’re on the go – who has time to bleach too?

Preparing Your Wardrobe For Fall : Three Essentials

Fall is here for some of us, and just around the corner for others. Or like, happening every other day if you live in the great state of Virginia! It’s the time of year where you have to check the weather each morning, no matter what, before you get dressed! Yesterday, I wore a long sleeve maxi dress, and today I’m wearing loose culottes and a t-shirt. You just never know what you’re gonna get in September in VA!

ANYWHO!! As we are dancing into fall, we thought we would let you guys know what our favorite, go-to, can’t live without wardrobe staples are as we make the season transition! It’s time to take stock of what you have in your closet and notice any pieces that might be missing. Let’s talk about hair accessories, y’all. Trends come and go in this fast fashion world that we live in, and we will hop on board with some of them. Some we will ditch as our styles continue to evolve, but some we will hang onto even after the mass craze is over! Headbands fall into the latter category. If you’re like me and tend to be lazy when it comes to doing your hair, a headband or headscarf can do wonders for adding a little something extra to your look!
