I got this satin slip dress with a wedding in mind.
While I ended up going with another option – I had to make use of this slip! I don’t have any occasions for this dress on the books so I wanted to incorporate it into my casual attire by dressing it down. I love to wear this shade of yellow and I am a sucker for a wallet friendly dress at Forever 21, but I was having a hard time styling this dress for an everyday occasion around Richmond. Basically, it took me a beat to figure out how I wanted to dress this slip dress down for a casual summer day.
I usually wear this Girl Power shirt (seen partially in this outfit lol) to work out in or when I am going for the athleisure look, but I really like it with this dress. It is the perfect contrast to this satin slip dress and I also like how you can’t see the entire t-shirts slogan. It’s a little secret between me and the Universe. Oh, and you.


I told you guys this was just the beginning of wedding content and the good news is, I wasn’t lying. Kevin (my handsome groom) and I wanted to keep this wedding process as simple yet stylish as possible and were so excited when Minted fit the bill for invitations.
