HAPPY 30TH BIRTHDAY TO THE GEM OF A WOMAN THAT IS CATHERINE

I am so excited to celebrate our blonde half todayyyyyy on The Crystal Press. We have come so far since the early days of TCP and this journey would be absolutely no fun at all without you.  From our travels together, to our latest venture (mostly on your part) of learning about our human design profiles, you have taught me so much.  You’ve taught me so much about myself, about how to work as a duo and how to step out of my comfort zone on so many levels. This year is going to be full of many more adventures, many, many more outfits and hopefully will be full of love and laughter. I can’t wait to celebrate you tonight in true Cathy fashion.

Where are my fellow May babies at? I am aware that I am 100% biast in saying this but May is my all-time favorite month of the year and has been since I was a wee one. There is so much to celebrate in the month of May: me (LOL), the warm weather, college graduations, weddings, fellow Taureans and more! Whether you are looking for a gift for yourself or to celebrate someone special in your life –  I am sharing some items (both ones that are affordable and a bit of a splurge) that I have my eye on as a kind of birthday wishlist. While Cath is off celebrating her birthday early with a little R&R in Miami with her hubby Kev, I’m just sitting here constantly perusing the internet for some fun summer purchases. Richmond Brunch Weekend

Because, honestly, who doesn’t LOVE brunch?

We love Richmond for about one million reasons, as you all know if you have been following along with us for any amount of time.  From the shopping scene, to the restaurant scene, the James River and beyond, our hometown is a seriously rad place.  Our hometown pride is REAL, and we love being able to share the happenings with you guys here on the blog.

So here’s the deal! Next weekend, March 24-25th, As Told Over Brunch + The Massey Alliance are bringing us the third annual Richmond Brunch Weekend.  Over 40 Richmond Area restaurants are participating in this epic weekend and all of the proceeds (15% of each meal) are going to the Massey Cancer Center.  As a part of this weekend, many of the restaurants are participating in the #MasseyMimosa and in addition to your 15%, they will donate $1 for each drink! All you have to do is show up for brunch and voila! you’re helping an important cause.

Friday Favorites: Graphic Tees and Malin + Goetz

 

HAPPY FRIDAY, friends! We made it! What are you guys up to this weekend? I’m looking forward to hopefully getting some painting done around the house – a longgggg overdue task.  I have such a hard time being productive around the house on Saturdays and an even harder time trying to convince John that that’s when normal people do house work.  We’d usually rather have our normal crosswording and brunch session at Joe’s Inn, followed by beer and basketball or brewery hopping! But, I’m putting my foot down this weekend! We – will – get- it – done.

ANYWHO! As you guys have probably noticed, every week or so Catherine and I like to take a look at our recent outfits, insta-stories and blog posts and look for the inevitable patterns that develop.  Lately, we’ve been rocking graphic tees non-stop, and specifically graphic tees that make us feel like serious #GirlBosses. It’s a great reminder when you look in the mirror to have a kicka$$ message staring back at you!  Cath’s Gucci tee is pretty much #goals too. We’ve rounded up a few of our favorite boss babe tees for you guys here:

Another favorite on repeat these days are Malin + Goetz products! The peppermint shampoo + cilantro conditioner are divine for our hair and the recovery treatment oil is a true miracle worker. The price tag might be kind of high, but trust me, its worth it.  It will make your face as smoooooth as a baby’s bottom.  (Just now realizing how kind of creepy that saying is?)
