Lately on The Crystal Press with Reb + Cathclaire

Every so often, it is fun to take a step back and look through the ‘gram and our camera rolls to see whats actually been happening in our lives.  These might include mirror selfies, pictures of the new-new things we have purchased and often times our favorite beauty products from gracious brands!  So, on this *dreary* Friday, here is a look at what we have been up to as of late.

Wedding Invitation Style with Minted

I told you guys this was just the beginning of wedding content and the good news is, I wasn’t lying. Black Dresses for Fall

 

I am pretty sure that multiple times a year, we do a post like this: rounding up our current favorite black dresses.  But the fact is, that we tend to live in our favorite black pieces so these posts are always relevant – well, to us at least. As we head into fall we can start to layer our favorite black shift dresses and/or get creative with some cooler weather friendly options. Whether you like to keep it simple with a basic t-shirt dress or would rather step outside of the box with something funky,  we’ve got plenty of options for you! Cathclaire: A Bride’s Take on How to Pick a Videographer


Here comes the influx of wedding content! I am so excited to share this video (and a taste of the photos from the oh-so-talented Kaytee Lauren!) with you guys and while this may be just the beginning, we are starting out with a bang with our wedding video from Altamira Production Co.

In terms of how to pick a videographer, the first thing I have to say is: just do it. I know the budget is a big thing when it comes to weddings because, well, weddings are hella-expensive and I’ve been there, but also – weddings, when you are the bride or groom, are a whirlwind. Everyone I’ve ever talked to (now my newlywed-self included) in regards to their wedding has described the day as flying by and a whirlwind. While they mean this in the best way, I can testify that fact is absolutely true. When Nick from Altamira sent me our wedding video, I can’t explain all the feels we felt reliving such a whirlwind yet beautiful, big day in our lives. The cinematic feel doesn’t hurt either.

It is no secret that I have a serious affinity for all things French! From skincare products, to high fashion labels I really don’t discriminate.  I also have a thing for Subscription boxes as we saw in my last Box of Style post. On top of all of that, I love jewelry. I mean, really, who doesn’t?  However, my taste tends to be simple, yet elegant.  I haven’t ever really been able to pull of costume jewelry or major statement necklaces and I think that’s why I was so very pleased when this Emma & Chloe box landed on my doorstep and I saw what was inside! Spotlight on: Mesh + Mirrored Lenses

We are big fans of layering in every season, to give looks added dimension.  While sweaters and the like aren’t very practical during the summer, we’ve found that you can pull of mesh and still be appropriately dressed for the weather.  Maybe not 100 degrees, but you know what we mean!  When we went to choose our picks for an Urban Outfitters shoot a little while ago, we unknowingly both picked out the same mesh top to layer under our different dresses.   On top of that, we both picked to wear extremely similar pairs of mirrored sunnies! I guess you could say that we tend to think alike in these scenarios, and we’ve been known to show up to events, dinners and happy hours dressed extremely similarly – but with our own Reb + Cathclaire twists. Our Summer Style

Instead of bringing you guys a fresh OOTD today, we thought it would be fun to round up some of our favorite day-to-day looks that tend to capture the epitome of each of our at-the-moment styles. Our styles are ever-changing, but our more casual moments tend to show our more Reb + Cath classic styles.  You may have seen a few of these on our instagrams, but here are a few snapshots of our favorite summer trends and pieces!We are obsessed with White Shirt Dresses this summer! They have such an effortlessly chic vibe that we love. Catherine took this little number on her honeymoon and its safe to say, it’s currently on repeat.
