Picking a Veil for Your Wedding with Elle + Adhira

Every woman knows the emphasis that is put on a wedding dress and picking out your wedding veil is no different! Choosing your veil has the ability to complete, transform, or botch your wedding day look. That being said, I am sharing some additional photos of my Cathclaire wedding today to highlight a piece that completed my look: a veil by Elle + Adhira.

Reb & John’s Anniversary Shoot with J&D Photo

Every shoot, every outfit post, everything that we do here at TCP starts with just a small bit of inspiration. Whether it is a pair of shoes, a graffiti wall in the fan or a new restaurant, we’ve got to start somewhere.  In this case,  my mom gave me this Alice + Olivia dress that she initially bought to wear for my sister’s wedding.  She ended up going with another amazing piece, and didn’t want this one to go unnoticed so she suggested I do something with it on the blog.   (more…)

How I Chose My Bridesmaids Dress

When Cath told me that we were all going to get to pick out our bridesmaids dresses I was SO excited.  I did this for my bridesmaids at my wedding and it was such fun and gave the photos such dimension.  Catherine gave us one guideline: black and we were free to go from there.  (more…)

Cathclaire’s Sequin Wedding Dress and Wedding Details

We all love drooling over celeb weddings, the wedding dress, and our best friend’s wedding photos. The love between two people and the style choices that a couple decides on for their wedding day are the most intriguing to me when it clearly reflects their personal style. From the wedding dress to the groom’s attire, I love it all! You know, those Pinterest wedding photos that you can’t stop oohing and ahhing over or save fast enough to your “Wedding Inspiration” board – we all do it.

I say all of this to reveal that I am obsessed with seeing people’s style choices for just about any occasion or event, especially weddings. When I see a wedding album, I always wonder to myself if the bride values being fashion forward over timeless, vintage over trendy? While a wedding is an intimate event (coming from that bride that snap-chatted arguably too many times during her wedding day), it is always a beautifully romantic spectacle. I am so excited to share with you guys my wedding photos from my big day to the love of my life, Kevin James. To be honest, I have been drooling over Kaytee Lauren’s work on this special day (and this sequin wedding dress!) and I am determined to believe it’s not just because it is my own wedding day.

I ordered this Jenny Packham sequin gown online and it is the only wedding dress I tried on during my search. This designer is extra special to me because Jenny Packham was the first fashion show that Rebecca and I sat front row at during NYFW a couple of seasons ago. (more…)

Wedding Invitation Style with Minted

I told you guys this was just the beginning of wedding content and the good news is, I wasn’t lying. Kevin (my handsome groom) and I wanted to keep this wedding process as simple yet stylish as possible and were so excited when Minted fit the bill for invitations.  See the wedding photo at the end of this post to get an idea of how excited we were about our Minted invitations.

Cathclaire: A Bride’s Take on How to Pick a Videographer

Here comes the influx of wedding content! I am so excited to share this video (and a taste of the photos from the oh-so-talented Kaytee Lauren!) with you guys and while this may be just the beginning, we are starting out with a bang with our wedding video from Altamira Production Co.

In terms of how to pick a videographer, the first thing I have to say is: just do it. I know the budget is a big thing when it comes to weddings because, well, weddings are hella-expensive and I’ve been there, but also – weddings, when you are the bride or groom, are a whirlwind. Everyone I’ve ever talked to (now my newlywed-self included) in regards to their wedding has described the day as flying by and a whirlwind. While they mean this in the best way, I can testify that fact is absolutely true. When Nick from Altamira sent me our wedding video, I can’t explain all the feels we felt reliving such a whirlwind yet beautiful, big day in our lives. The cinematic feel doesn’t hurt either.

Reb’s Wedding Revisited

As we enter Catherine’s wedding week, naturally, we are revisiting some of our favorite moments from my wedding. We thought it would be fun to do a little round up of pieces inspired by my wedding, so we can do the same for Catherine once we get her photos back.  I still love looking through my wedding photos and it’s always hard to choose my favorites. However, I will highlight a few favorite shots of the details, the bridesmaids dresses, the getting-ready gear and of course, the shoes, in case there are any bride-to-be’s out there looking for a little inspo or friends looking to remember the fun we had at The Homestead! Unconventional Wedding Attire

Most of the weddings I have attended in recent years happened to be ones where I was a bridesmaid. This meant that my get-up was chosen for me, or in collaboration with the bride, and I did not have to worry about that decision in the least!  When my cousin Caitlin’s wedding rolled around last week, however, I was excited to try something new.  I found these amazing pants at Zara while Catherine and I were in New York and knew instantly that I had to do something really cool with them.  (more…)
