How We Aim to Keep Things Interesting in 2018

Have you noticed that it’s been a while since we shot in front of the old favorite white wall?

On this bizarre-ly warm day (65 degrees) today, it is hard to imagine that last Saturday it was so cold that Catherine and I couldn’t grin and bear it outside long enough to snap a few pix.  And that’s saying something, because I remember last year we snapped one of my favorite looks on a 25 degree day that felt like 10.  SO, instead, we wandered into this amazing home decor shop, Eviction, in the Scott’s Addition neighborhood of Richmond. We’ve been eyeing this shop for a while now – on the corner on Marshall with Mikael Broth work on all sides – so this seemed like the perfect time. We walked in simply seeking shelter from the elements,  maybe do a little browsing and I walked out ready to redecorate my entire home with pieces from this shop! So many interesting things.

Hey John, you may be in trouble, because I seriously need some stuff from this store – mainly the brass bar cart in the last photo of this post! I had my eye on a few lamps as well…….

Anywho,  lately Catherine and I have been trying to get creative when it comes to shooting our looks. You may have noticed that last week we chose a convenience store and before that a construction zone; and we have been brainstorming many more fun ideas to keep things interesting for you guys. As much fun as we have had in the past with keeping a clean, minimalist aesthetic, we are moving toward more flamboyant ideas in 2018. Because, why the heck not? Right? Gotta keep you guys (and well, ourselves) entertained!

Do you guys have any suggestions for us? #RVA readers, do you have any cool places around town in mind?

    Hi, Rebecca.

First of all, Rebecca, you are so pretty. I love your Faux Fur Coat. It really looks great and matches your white dress. Did you get to buy anything in the store?

Great coat! I love that you’re getting creative with your shots. So many people keep it to the same few locations. It’s nice to see bloggers switch it up a bit.

I love this outfit! I think it’s such a neat idea to switch up interesting locations for your posts. That definitely keeps things interesting and wondering where you’ll be next!

I guess it really depends on what kind of story you want to tell with your photos. That’s how I usually take photos. 😛 x

I cannot wait for your new content! It’s been freezing in CT and it’s just unbearable to shoot outside so I’ve been brainstorming cool indoor locations too! Excited to see what you ladies come up with!
