Spotlight On: The Shacket

were you even a fashion blogger this winter if you didn’t post about a shacket?

This fall, I ordered a shacket from H&M and it took soooo long to get here that once it got here I was determined to love it. But I didn’t.

Don’t get me wrong, I loved the style, but it was ITCHY. It was fun to style and I even snapped a few back porch pics wearing it, but it just wasn’t the perfect shacket I was looking for. I kinda gave up on my shacket mission until I was planning looks for this shoot with Halle. THEN, I found this absolute BEAUTY from ASOS and knew exactly how I was going to style it and that I had to have it. It is the perfect weight, perfectly oversized and a great extra layer for the cooler months! And, it isn’t itchy. Thank God. And on a rare, rare occurrence, this look turned out exactly as I had imagined it. I think you can thank the Gucci socks for most of that though 🙂

The great thing about the Shacket ( Shirt – Jacket, obvi ) is that it is not quite as heavy as a coat, but it will keep ya warm and add a little extra dimension to your winter look. It is also light weight enough for continued use for the Spring, when it is just cool enough to need an extra layer. I added this sherpa one to my collection before our trip to Grove Park Inn *see it here* and it is also in heavy rotation. It isn’t lined like this salt & pepper style here is, which makes it super comfy for all day wear.

had already bought myself a large Faherty shirt that seems to fit the shacket and now have ordered another from ASOS. Your fault, Rebecca! x

I absolutely love the whole shacket look, even though I’m not typically one to jump on trends. However, I haven’t ordered one for myself yet, so I’ve just been borrowing my husband’s long button-ups to use haha!

To be honest, I have yet to own one but I have been debating picking one up and currently have one in my cart, lol. Love how you styled the trend! xoxo, Sarah

I LOVE LOVE LOVE how you’ve styled it. There is something effortlessly chic about your look. Only if I had the legs to carry them boots.
